Job Title: Analyst EHS-China

Job Location: Tianjin, China

 

Responsibilities:

•    10% Maintain expert knowledge of all regulatory compliance obligations and corporate requirements and ensures they are adequately addressed in site plan and therefore satisfactorily met and managed including but not limited to EHS affairs and FIRE compliance as local requirements meanwhile meeting Kennametal global minimum expectations. 
•    15% Accountable to reduce overall EHS risk for the site and drive EHS culture by monitoring progress against EHS objectives and communications to site manager and employee population meanwhile developing and leading plan for continual improvement PLUS reinforcement of FSI (Fatal Serious Injury) Prevention and MBS (Management Based Safety) for a robust management system and safety culture of world class.
•    10%  Accountable for year over year continuous improvement of EHS performance  
•    10% Accountable for proper organization or coordination of high level of EHS knowledge and competency among all levels of employees plus integration of EHS function with quality and lean manufacturing business partners.  In addition, resolve EHS challenges and create foundations for sustainable systems meanwhile application of a combination of logic, analysis, and experience to make sound, timely decisions and to solve problems
•    10% Coordinate and support cross functions on an effective application of Intelex system in site.
•    5% Implement and drive sustainability of systems, programs, and processes to support compliance and management systems as well as support of any POP project in site, as needed  
•    5% Assure monthly CPAS audit activity system or similar system & maintain routine management of the system by working with EHS stewards.
•    35% Other duties: Hazardous chemicals management; Permits management; ISO14001 management system maintenance; Industrial hygiene; EHS daily spending log & Analysis; etc.
  
Requirements:
•    College degree or above in EHS related majors. 
•    Good English skill both written and oral is preferred.
•    A solid EHS FIRST type mindset is essential  
•    Team-work spirit and capability
•    Prior implementation of ISO45001 and/or ISO14001 management system principles will be of benefit. 
•    Skillful operation of microsoft such as excel, word, PPT etc. 
•    Proper use SCBA: self-contained breathing apparatus will be preferred
