This position reports to Engineering Manager, Tianjin Plant and is responsible for insert surface treatment process engineering.


He or she works under supervision of carbide engineering manager. Most areas of responsibility are reviewed on daily basis. Goals are set that span up to every three months for completion with monthly milestone.

Workshop Support

Support workshop production to solve production problems


Continuous Improvement

Lead and conduct improvement projects such as scrap reduction, setup reduction, automation, etc.



Location: No.70 Xinhuan West Road, TEDA West, Tianjin China



  • Manage the work instruction and provide training to qualify the surface treatment operators.
  • Responsible for workshop troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the equipment status with the support of maintenance team.
  • In charge of process audit and process discipline control.
  • Draft and review technology documents such as WI and control plan.
  • Review and identify insert appearance defects.
  • Make sure 8D/5 why close on time in case of problem.
  • Lead assigned Lean & 6 Sigma projects.



  • Bachelor’s degree above in engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in manufacturing area— maintenance, processing or manufacturing engineering function. Powder metallurgical background is preferred.
  • Fluent oral English to communicate with overseas technical experts.
  • Proven skills of problem solving and machine troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Awareness of ISO9000 or TS16949.
  • Understanding of 6 sigma methodology and lean manufacturing concept could be a plus.
  • Good team work and ownership.
