Maintenance Manager

 

 

The successful candidate will manage the maintenance department and execute infrastructure projects as required on site.


The department has a variety of plant machines around 120 onsite. The role of the Maintenance Manager is to ensure machine breakdowns and shutdowns are efficiently avoided and the capabilities to implement preventative, predictive maintenance system.


 

Responsibilities

 

  • Management of Maintenance department to include employee’s maintenance costs and expenses.
  • Develop strategies to achieve high efficiency of bottleneck processes (high service standards)
  • To provide an effective planned and responsive maintenance service to the production teams.
  • Plan preventative maintenance, checks, and procedures.
  • Determines how resources are allocated within the area of accountability
  • Provide timely cost-effective maintenance services for machinery, equipment, and facilities with an adequately trained and equipped maintenance workforce
  • Manages a team of maintenance technicians
  • Ensure response to production breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Analyze energy costs and implement ways to improve the efficiency of plant equipment.
  • Implement the tools and equipment throughout the plant and infrastructure.

        (Oil filtrations, Water System, Electrical Power, Air Conditions, POP Energy Savings, Compressed Air & Compressors)

  • To accurately log details of machine breakdowns and actions taken to remedy them.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety awareness and performance meet company standards.
  • Carry out risk assessments of existing and new operations and offer solutions to current problems.
  • Determine and manage critical spare parts to ensure high efficiency
  • Creation of systematic improvement strategies to increase OEE performance.
  • Analyze downtime reasons to create lessons learned database
  • Evaluate corporate Environmental Health and Safety strategy and develop annual site plan and objectives.
  • Drive improvement of management-based safety to achieve an interdependent culture.
  • Monitor progress against EHS objectives and communications to site manager and employees.
  • Resolve EHS challenges and create foundations for sustainable systems.
  • Conduct EHS training.
  • Forecast and manage monthly and annual EHS budget.
  • Identify and lead facility Protect Our Planet (POP) energy reduction and EHS capital projects

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

  • 4-year secondary degree
  • Experience repairing, servicing, and maintaining equipment in a similar environment.
  • Previous experience managing a maintenance department and maintenance technicians.
  • Previous experience with technical engineering in maintenance and repair of machinery to operational standards.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and CNC machinery.
  • Ability to problem solve on a variety of equipment
  • Must be Heath, Safety & Environmentally focused, and promote safety in the workplace.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
