Sales Engineer – Piemonte

 

 

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join us in our team. You will be part of a business environment which is constantly changing. You will be working on keeping and stablishing relationships with the existing customers, as well as finding new ones. Your area of working will be the region of Piemonte, mainly the Turin area.

 

 

General responsibilities:

 

  • Select opportunities and customers to be targeted
  • Customers visits
  • Supervision of field test / Tool tests against competition
  • Recommending tool selection based on customer request or test results
  • Expand existing business
  • Develop and acquire new business
  • Working on customer enquiries
  • Co-ordinate technical enquiries between Sales office and Customer
  • Observe competitors developments
  • Prepare sales forecasts weekly, territory reports and expense reports monthly
  • Use Kennametal´s CRM software
  • Support in collection of customers’ past due invoices

 

 

 

Outlined responsibilities:

 

  • As required, secures delivery dates, places orders for customers, obtains information and provides advice on tool applications, and resolves customer complaints.

 

  • Prepares sales forecasts, territory reports and expense reports on an as required basis. Helps to develop the annual sales plan in conjunction with the supervisor and is accountable for the territory sales plan implementation and achievement.

 

  • Contacts potential and established customers to promote, sell and service Kennametal products in a designed sales territory. Through customer contact recommends product utilisation, conduct tests and demonstrations at customer locations. Reports significant competitor marketing and sales activity.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Preferably resident in the Turin area.
  • Good knowledge and practical experience of metal cutting processes (turning, milling, hole making)
  • Good knowledge of pc software
  • Field sales experience in metal cutting tools
  • “Hunter” profile, able to develop existing customers and find new ones
  • Ability to interact with key accounts, distributors and smaller companies
  • Good communication skills (both within Kennametal and with customers)
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a changing market and a changing company
  • Willingness to travel
