Press Operator

 

WILL TRAIN!

2nd Shift 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate operation of press after set-up without assistance.
  2. Demonstrate basic adjustments on press to control and size and weight.
  3. Able to detect attribute defects on all pressed parts.
  4. Able to select correct trays for grade and part type.
  5. Able to badge production qty’s of good and scrap pcs in MII.
  6. Able to return scrap pcs and unused powder to powder clerks.
  7. Able to consistently fill out scrap powder return cards in legible manner.

 

 

Education, Training and/or Experience:

  1. Grade 12 education.
  2. General understanding of hydraulics operation preffered.
  3. Understanding blueprints
  4. Basic computer skills.
  5. Manufacturing experience using presses preferred.
  6. Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  7. Self-motivated, with good interpersonal, organization and teamwork skills.
  8. Existing employees can be promoted and/or transferred based on Kennametal Ltd. Victoria work experience only.
