Shift: 2nd, Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm

 

Set up and operate an automated Grind line to produce quality products.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Select an order based on priorities provided by the area lead or supervisor.
  • Measure raw materials before processing and then hold parts to quality specifications while performing in process audits during cycle runs.
  • Follow established procedures for running and checking the grind lines to ensure all systems are operating correctly.
  • Set up, operate, & troubleshoot moderate to complex problems on centerless grinders, infeed robot cell, and chamfer robot cell in an efficient timely manner to maintain output and produce parts to specifications.
  • Read & understand blueprints and be able to resolve issues related to the quality specifications provided.
  • Separate, identify & report nonconforming from good product and document accurately on the provided paperwork and in the MII reporting system.
  • Perform daily housekeeping responsibilities and perform routine machine maintenance (CLI checklist).
  • Be able to train new operators when required.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by area lead or supervisor.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Must have High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years minimum manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Safety Shoes are required.

 

Work Environment:

  • Environment with controlled temperatures and dust collection systems. 
  • Safety glasses with side-shields required.
  • Gloves, cut resistant gloves when necessary.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Approximately eight hours sitting/standing with three break opportunities per eight hour work period.
  • Fine and gross hand manipulation is required to perform job functions.
  • Intermittent walking, reaching and bending.
  • Lifting containers/boxed packaged parts weighing no more than thirty-three (30) pounds.

 

Problem Solving:

  • Inspect and pack orders according to the order selection procedure.
  • Assignments and instructions communicated orally and carried out by standing guidelines.
  • Routine problems solved by Inspector/Packer using learned knowledge of inspection processes. 
  • Recurring problems and major decisions receive area Lead or Supervisor attention.
