Solutions Engineer in CZ/SK

 

We are looking for new employee to join us as Solutions Engineer. In your new role you will be responsible for provide the most accurate technical economical metal cutting solution for specific customers parts or applications. As part of EMEA team, you are going to collaborate with different Kennametal teams as well, in order to provide the best solution to our customers.

You will support customer, field sales, marketing, and manufacturing with accurate and timely engineering content and information.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer requests for specific tools and specifications
  • Respond to technical projects from customers for machining complex parts
  • Support for the realization of 2D or 3D concept and manufacturing drawings to value technical proposals
  • Perform CAM simulation to value the project
  • Internal or external presentations of proposed tools and machining programs
  • Define special tools in coordination with specialized departments
  • Technical support for sales and customers
  • Technical and economical advice for the choice of the supplier of the special tools
  • Use and update of technical database
  • Travel over several days to visit clients, approx. 25% of the time

 

Your profile:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with a specialization in manufacturing or production engineering, or comparable education with qualified further trainings in the same fields
  • 5-10 years of experience in machining and metalworking with tools application (time study and manufacturing process of mechanical parts)
  • Native/bilingual level of Czech/Slovak language
  • Very good language skills in English spoken and written (another language is an asset: German, Polish…)
  • Knowledge of CAM / CAD: experience with NX, Autocad, Catia, Openmind, Esprit, Topsolid, SolidCam or Fusion360, Mastercam, Edgecam; a big asset
  • CNC programming capabilities will be a positive add
  • Clamping fixture knowledge will be a positive add
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP; big asset
  • Strong teamwork skills and high communication skills
  • High autonomy with missions’ prioritization and good time management
  • Good presentation skills
