Manager-Fixture Design

Job Summary

• Complete knowledge of project deliverables.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Prepare L1 design plan and ensure the execution.
• Take important technical decisions about the project.
• Resources management and adherence to OTD of projects.
• Standardization activities.
• Design within the budget.
• Team building - coaching & training the team members.
• Talent retention.
• Suppliers & customers communication.
• Working with CFT members for execution of projects.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Fixture design projects simultaneously.
• New Product Development.
• Standardization.
• Project execution as per ISO system
• OTD for all the projects & adherence to project schedules.
• Adherence to the budget of project. Ensure designs are released adhering to budget.
• Customer interaction, DAP approvals and resolution of any technical issues raised.
• Supplier interaction.
• Service, warranty issues immediate action.
• Periodic technical and schedule reviews of design projects
• Adherence to company EHS policies.
• Travel & visit customers for discussion. Visit the workplace / machines to collect feedback.
• Keeping track of new developments & technologies & implementing the same in designs.
• Design outsourcing - getting work done from outside vendors.

Skills & Certificates

• Have experience of managing more than 5 members Fixture design team.
• Sound technical knowledge of Machining centers fixtures & able to design it.
• Able to design hyd, coolants & pneumatic circuits.
• Knows all design calculations of fixture and circuits.
• Have good knowledge of metal cutting processes and manufacturing of components.
• Good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of GD & T and Tolerances.
• Can work on AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
• Should have hands on experience in machine design & able to draw in 2D & 3D.
• Able to manage multiple projects at a time.
• Have good knowledge of makes of different bought out items and their cost.
• Have good knowledge of cost of manufacturing items

Experience & Education – 15+ Yrs. of Experience / Should be B.E / ME
